A feral child tales are always popular throughout human history. Sometimes these tales are emerged as a source of one nation or state.(Romulus, Romus or Asena). On the other hand though authenticates of most of them are controversial; there are lots of real feral child stories like a child raised by birds, goats, dogs or wolves. However, it had never been tried before 1879 to adapt it into literature. Albert Robida father of illustrated sci-fi created Saturnin Farandoul who is a boy rose by Orang-utans and became a king of apes. Notwithstanding it is impossible for one to learn language after reaches 4 -5 years old in away human society, of course all of the characters of legendries and stories make tough but sufficient adaptation with human society.
The most influential feral character Mowgli was born in 1894 in India. It was created by an English writer, journalist and poet Rudyard Kipling. Kipling was born in Bombay in 1865 and he was educated in England. He was one of the most influential English writers, he was the first English writer who won Nobel Prize in literature and the youngest writer ever won.
Rudyard Kipling wrote short fable stories about a life in Jungle. The main character of these stories is Mowgli. Mowgli was an Indian boy, who is lost in Jungle, ran from tiger (Shere Khan) and saved by wolves. It was followed by the second book of the Jungle Book in 1895.
Many people tried to find some allegories in these stories as present in Animal Farm or Lord of the Flies, however these stories are just stories written for children.
There are several feral child stories in literature after Mowgli like Tarzan (1912), Superman (1938), Peter Pan (1902), Ka-Zar (1930).
