The earth is under attack, Martians, high intelligent species, are invading our World, who will save us?
Great war machines? Passion of humans? Or something else?
In 1898, when H.G.Wells finished his legandary sci-fi novel The War of the Worlds, he was already one of the most famous sci-fi writer with his other 3 legandary novels. Time Machine (1895), The Island of Dr.Moreau (1896), The Invisible Man(1897). Although both of them are triumphs in the history of sci-fi novels, The War of the Worlds differ from the others with its concept. We can say that it is the first sample of sci-fi invasion literature.
Though it is unusual and exeptional to dream high intelligent aliens and their invasion in 19th century, it is more hard and admirable to find the way of World's salvation from this invasion. H.G.Wells as advanced sci-fi writer, dream high intelligent aliens and their invasion. Martians land and start invasion from London. Mankind was hopeless, it was totally massacre, no man, no weapon made by human could get over it. So what would mankind do? How could we save our World and our species.
H.G.Wells give us two options by two different characters. While one of them says, Martians are deputy of God and they were sent to Earth because of our sins, so we have to face with our destiny it is meaningless to try get over them, the other says we are not God's chosen species if we want to live we have to hide in underground, improve and learn. However there is not any hope for totally salvation. We have to either surrender or live in underground. But suprisingly invasion could not be lasted for long time. Martians began to fall and die.
There was one last and powerful shield over the earth, Evolution. Martians who had been evoluated in Mars, had not faced with any bacteria before and these bacterias were fatal for them.
Although in adaptations novel's the most important them evolution is not emphasized as in original novel, its adaptations achieved good results with its invasion theme, action and horror. Most knowns are;

After a hundred years, mankind start to plan establish colonies at Mars and at astreoids. However same problem is still waiting answer. How can we get over with our evolution. Our bodies are compatible with earth and it is limited between sea level and few hundreds meter height. For instance, what if we try to land a planet bigger than ours, how will we move againts more powerful gravity. It is almost impossible to find a planet which is exactly the same with earth, so we have to either live with and inside of machines or find way to copy our intelligent and consciousness.
